What we learnt from PPD?

What we learnt from PPD?

From this ppd we have learnt a lot and enjoyed it well. And we got amazing experiences throughout this session. It helped us to develop our skills and know about us others strength too.

  • Self Confindence
  • Time Management
  • Dicision Making
  • Planning Skill
  • communication skills
  • How to manage stress
  • Team Working
  • Communication SkillsTeam WorkingPresentation Skills

Those are the things what we learnt from PPD mainly.

With the session PPD we learn how to help people when they need and also we get the knowledge when people need help and what are the different ways we can help them. ppd is a good session that we can develop our personal skills with enjoyable way

To develop that main ability and to communicate correctly and to respect our team members and to listen them, the PPD session is the most important part in our life .

And it also made
1. self-awareness.
We got to know who we really are; our values, beliefs and the purpose we wish to pursue. True fulfilment can never come from chasing other people’s dreams. If you want to achieve lasting happiness, you need to design your life based on who you are. Then you can chase your own goals and objectives. When you are chasing your own goals, there is as much pleasure to be derived from the journey as there is to be derived from reaching your destination.

 2. A sense of direction

Once you have raised you self-awareness, you are clearer on the things you wish to achieve from life. Decision-making becomes a lot easier. Tasks which used to take a great deal of your time, no longer make it onto your to-do list. You now realise that they do not move you towards your objectives and therefore are not worthy of your time.

 3. Improved focus and effectiveness

With personal development . Even with an improved sense of direction, there will always be multiple tasks looking for your attention. As your personal development improves, prioritisation becomes much easier. You are clearer on your objectives and you can quickly identify which task will give you the best result with the resources available to you at that moment.

Improved focus and effectiveness comes with knowing and playing to your strengths.

 4. More motivation

When you know what you want to achieve, it is easier for you to see the benefits of taking action. Even when the task ahead is not enjoyable; if you can see a clear benefit, you are more motivated to take the necessary action. There is truth in the old adage‘Where there is a will there is a way’. With strong personal development, you develop the necessary will.

 5. Greater resilience

There will be tough times in life. When these tough times occur, you need to have the skills and attributes to deal effectively with them.  Personal development cannot prevent all bad things from occurring but it will help you deal with them when they do. You will have greater confidence, resilience, personal and interpersonal skills to cope with any eventuality.

Personal development is a much used and much maligned term. It is about taking the time and, making the commitment, to invest in your greatest resource – you. When you put the effort in to developing yourself, the rewards are amazing. Many people are put off personal development because the results are not always measurable. However, the greatest achievers in life know that the key to success is the ability to manage yourself in a variety of situations. That ability comes through personal development.

Paper tower

Paper Tower

Paper Tower is a simple teambuilding activity that involves creativity, planning and teamwork.  Build the tallest tower using just A4papers and cellotape and scissor .

  • Materials required:12A4papers, 1cellotape, and a scissor.
  • Number of People : Three  teams of 8 people Time Required:45 minutes.
  • Rules: You cannot use materials other than A4paper and cellotape and scissor. The winning team will be decided according to the height and creativity and stability and streightness of the tower.

How Do we Play Paper Tower?

Give each team 45 minutes to plan and discuss strategy, and then start to build the tower. Each team will build a tall tower using the materials supplied.  When time is up, stop everyone and measure the height of the tower to determine the winner.  Towers must remain standing and not fall and be straighten.

At the very beginning of making Paper Tower ,we had not a plan how to built it.All of the members in our group presented their own idea about the basement and how to built it height. After long discussion our group member Shehara started to make the basement as her own way.It was right and it was accepted by all the members. Then we had a plan and started to build it all together and we made four supports for the basement. Then we rolled the papers like cones and pasted them one by one.But when tower's height was increasing, the straightness and strength went down. When the time was over we had used 11 papers and had made 2nd highest tower, from the three groups.

End of this activity we had learnt a lot.when we are doing anything we must have a plan and strategy about what we are going to do.when we are working as a group all of the members have the responsibility on that and someone should take the leadership as well. We must listen to others. And we also learnt to how to finishes the work within the given period of time.

Know about PPD

What is PPD??

PPD means Personal Progress Development.

PPD covers activities that improve our softskills.Such as awareness and identity, develop talents and potential, build human capital and facilitate employability, enhance the quality of life and contribute to the realization of dreams and aspirations. Personal development takes place over the course of a person's entire life.

The phrase ‘soft skills’ is often used to describe the skills which characterize relationships with other people, or which are about how you approach life and work.

What are the Most Important Soft Skills?

It’s hard to judge which soft skills are most important, but this list is soft skills and the skills which are most likely to enable you to build constructive working relationships with others, or to be a constructive and helpful employee.

1. Communication Skills

Communication skills are always top of the ‘essential skills’ list in any job advertisement. People with strong communication skills can build relationships ,listen well, and vary their communication to suit the circumstances.

2.  Making Decisions

Valued by employers for many reasons, being able to make decisions is key to getting on in life. Sometimes the actual decision doesn’t even matter; what matters is that you have made one and moved on.

3. Self-Motivation

People who are self-motivated get on by themselves. They don’t need close supervision and they are good to work with because they are generally positive about life and can be counted upon to keep going. It also helps to work on your personal resilience and adaptability to change.

4. Leadership Skills

These are the set of soft skills that we least expect someone to develop by themselves.

5. Team-Working Skills

There is also plenty of thinking to suggest that good communication skills, particularly good listening skills, together with an ability to build rapport will go a long way to support your ability to work well in a team.

6. Creativity and Problem-Solving Skills

Creativity and problem-solving skills are highly valued because they are hard to develop. There are many people who believe that creative thinkers are born, not made, and there are certainly some people who find these skills much easier.

7. Time Management and ability to work under pressure

Many would say that these two skills, which often go together, are more an attitude than a skill. However, they can also be developed and honed, which is why we include them as skills. Highly valued by employers, they are also very useful for organizing a family or a team, and for making sure that the job gets done.
